SMX club cancelled Elvetham Forest on the 8th Feb because of snow. Two weeks later the rescheduled meeting ran in perfect weather, with the track in the best condition it's ever been. Tupical England, yet weather forecasters always mention the norm for the time of year. What norm? the car park gets biger every time but so does the entry, long may it continue.
Steve Gesner charged away in the first A Group, blasted his 125 round at the front for half the race, the 250 twostroke specialist Jason Palmer took over, only for 450 mounted Lee Cummings to whip by on the last lap to win. Sam Gabriel stayed on long enough this time for third.
Jason Palmer made no mistakes in the second leg leading throughout, while David Ford nabbed a mid race second only to be passed back by Sam Gabriel and Lee Cummings as the race wore on.
Steve Gesner holeshot the last leg, but Sam Gabriel passed him second time round, only to crash out a lap later. Steve then clung on until the last lap when David Ford and Eddie Carr rammed through. With Jason and Lee Cummings failing to finish. It was David Ford who took top spot overall from a surprised Yan Dixon.
